I'm joining Morgan Raven's UCSB NOISE lab on the second leg of a 6-week cruise on the RV Kilo Moana studying organic matter preservation in the Pacific Ocean! We are looking at sinking phytoplankton and deep marine sediments that are rich in organic matter, sulfur, and iron.
I graduated with my PhD from Vanderbilt University!
I started a postdoc at McGill University, working with Galen Halverson.
I defended my PhD on ecology and taphonomy of early eukaryotic microfossils!
I travelled to Oxford University Museum of Natural History for an extended research visit to work with Frankie Dunn. I was looking at microfossils and mineral textures from Paleoproterozoic cherts.
