I am interested in early eukaryotes: the microscopic, soft-bodied remains of ancient ancestors of modern animals, plants and fungi.
Who were these organisms? What types of environments did they live in?
And despite being so tiny and having no skeleton, how did they become fossilized?
I try to answer these questions using micropaleontology, sedimentology, and geochemistry.
